Elizabeth Cabell - Floral Artist

Color.   Texture.   Light.   Movement.

All primary design principles which I explore in my artwork. I strive for the sensual, the expressionistic, the abstract organic qualities found in the landscapes of a garden. When my viewer is wholly entranced by the sheer abundance of the florals I create, I am fulfilled.

Elizabeth paints for the sheer transcendent joy that occurs while engrossed by her muse, the garden. A Richmond native, Elizabeth holds Fine Arts degrees from both James Madison University and The School of the Arts at VCU. She is classically trained in the discipline of the Fine Arts - color, texture, pattern and composition - and well-travelled in Italy and Europe.  Her love of detail and decoration, movement and color are readily apparent in her work.

While Elizabeth’s interior design work with Cabell Design Studio won numerous national awards and has been featured in multiple national press outlets, she now returns to her love of painting.  Currently, Floriography is of primary focus to her art and is expressed in both detailed and abstracted form.  Her artwork has been featured in numerous solo shows and has been included in multiple national art exhibitions.
